Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Yapzee Partner Portal ("the Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal. These terms apply to all university administrators and team members with access to the Portal.

2. Eligibility

Access to the Portal is restricted to authorised representatives of UK universities that have been approved by Yapzee. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to act on behalf of your institution.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Portal to:

• Create and manage events for your university
• Post announcements to your student community
• View basic student directory information
• Manage your university's portal team members
• View engagement analytics for your events and announcements

4. Prohibited Use

You must not:

• Attempt to access student social data, posts, or private interactions
• Use the Portal to harass, discriminate against, or harm students
• Share your credentials with unauthorised individuals
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or RLS policies
• Post content that is misleading, harmful, or violates UK law
• Use the Portal for commercial advertising unrelated to your university

5. Content Responsibility

You are responsible for all events and announcements published through your university's portal account. Yapzee reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms or is otherwise deemed harmful, and to suspend access to accounts that repeatedly violate these terms.

6. Student Privacy

University administrators acknowledge that student privacy is paramount. Access to student data is limited by design and enforced at the database level. Any attempt to misuse student data will result in immediate termination of portal access.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Portal available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or changes to the Portal at any time with or without notice.

8. Termination

Yapzee may suspend or terminate your access to the Portal at any time if you breach these terms, if your university's partnership is revoked, or if we discontinue the service. You may also request deletion of your account by contacting us at hello@yupzee.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Yapzee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Portal. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify administrators of material changes via email.
